Sauveterre, the nearest town to Ferouailles, is a five minute drive. There you will find a butcher, baker, general store and a chemist, plus a coffee shop and a bar. Superstores are an easy twenty minute drive away.

Ferouailles is surrounded by the regions picturesque Bastide towns, the most beautiful and historic of these is at Villefrance-du-Perigord. A must visit (on market day especially), and only a fifteen minute drive.

Also you can find many elegant chateaux and historic castles nearby, the most famous of these, Bonaguil castle, which with two restaurants sitting at its foot, is a ten minute drive from Ferouailles.

Along with the regions prehistoric riches, the local food “fetes” and markets, and the Cahors wine trail, there is much to see and do nearby. The local produce provides for some great gastronomique experiences – whether eating ‘in’ or ‘out'.

For the more active; horse riding, quad biking, kayaking, fishing, tennis and golf are all available within the local vicinity.
